Passionate about Application Security, DevSecOps and Cloud Security? We're recruiting for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join a leading health research organisation that's helping transform the future of disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment. This is not a traditional cyber security or vulnerability management role. Instead, you'll work closely with engineering and cloud teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, helping developers build secure applications from day one.

What you'll be doing:

  • Embedding security throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines
  • Working with Azure, Kubernetes (AKS) and cloud-native technologies
  • Securing APIs and internet-facing applications
  • Implementing SAST, DAST, IAST and Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
  • Developing Security-as-Code and Policy-as-Code
  • Using Terraform and Python to automate security processes
  • Supporting developers with secure coding and best practices
  • Threat modelling and secure engineering

What we're looking for:

  • Experience as an Application Security Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer or similar
  • Strong Azure cloud security knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Experience with GitHub & GitHub Actions
  • Terraform & Python
  • Knowledge of SAST, DAST, IAST and SCA
  • API Security
  • DevSecOps mindset
