This role sits within the Financial Control function at a leading foreign Bank and is focused on delivering accurate, compliant and timely financial reporting for the organisation. The Financial Reporting Accountant will take ownership of core month-end and year-end processes, statutory accounts preparation, financial analysis, and tax reporting. The role also supports internal and external audits, ensures strong financial controls, and helps maintain high-quality documentation across finance processes. Working in a regulated banking environment, the position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively with stakeholders across the business to meet reporting deadlines and regulatory standards.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Financial statements are accurate, compliant with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare month end reports including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with reporting standards, internal controls and best practices.
- Assist in preparation of financial statement analysis reports including volume rate drivers and annual budget.
- Carrying out periodic accounting procedures at end of month and year, group packs and tax reporting.
- Co-ordinate and document the financial processes.
- Work on ad hoc projects as directed by the Line Manager.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experienced in Finance and Accounting function in the financial services sector.
- Strong skills with MS Office suite.
- Strong analytical and organisation skills.
- Highly motivated and self-sufficient.
- Degree educated and accounting professional qualification (preferred).
