An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shopping Centre Manager to join a well-established retail property business specialising in shopping centre management, retail asset management, leasing and operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take ownership of the day-to-day management of the centre, leading the on-site team while driving operational standards, occupier relationships and commercial performance.
The Role
As Shopping Centre Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the smooth day-to-day operation of the shopping centre
- Leading, supporting and developing the on-site team, including security personnel
- Building strong relationships with retailers and occupiers
- Managing occupier enquiries, compliance matters and negotiations
- Overseeing facilities management, maintenance, cleaning and overall site presentation
- Supporting promotional campaigns and events to increase visitor engagement
- Maximising retail performance through effective use of space and merchandising initiatives
- Managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and supporting financial targets
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety and emergency preparedness
- Reviewing centre performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
About You
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with hands-on shopping centre management experience who understand the complexities of managing a busy, public-facing retail environment.
You may currently be working as a Shopping Centre Manager, Centre Manager, Retail Centre Manager, Shopping Mall Manager, Centre Operations Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Retail Property Manager or in a similar position.
You will ideally have:
- Previous shopping centre or relevant retail property management experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- A good understanding of retail operations and commercial performance
- Experience managing occupier/retailer relationships
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, visible and hands-on management style
- Good knowledge of health & safety and compliance within a public-facing environment
