A long-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice in Middlesbrough is looking to add a talented Practice Accountant OR Accounts Senior to join the team.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of a mixed client portfolio, preparing year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, tax computations and supporting junior members of the team. The practice works with a wide range of small businesses and individuals, offering bookkeeping, tax, payroll, statutory accounts and compliance services — so the work is varied and genuinely interesting.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3 years’+ experience in a UK Accountancy Practice
  • Strong background preparing statutory accounts for Ltd companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Solid understanding of VAT, bookkeeping, tax computations and control accounts
  • Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar cloud platforms
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Local to Middlesbrough or able to commute
