An opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a well-established accountancy firm providing audit, tax, accounting, and corporate finance services. As a Bookkeeper, you will manage bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities for multiple clients while ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance and client service. This is a full-time permanent role offering hybrid working options, a salary of £30,000 and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the full bookkeeping function for a portfolio of client businesses
- Processing day-to-day financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Completing bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
- Maintaining control accounts and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Processing monthly payroll for multiple clients
- Producing accurate financial records to support management reporting and year-end accounts preparation
- Managing workloads across several client accounts and ensuring deadlines are met
What We Are Looking For
- Previously worked as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Junior Accountant, Payroll Administrator or in a similar role
- Have at least 3 years' bookkeeping and payroll experience
- Prior experience managing the finances of multiple businesses or clients simultaneously
- Must have experience using Xero
- Knowledge of VAT preparation and submission
- Strong practical knowledge of bookkeeping processes and payroll administration
- Right to work in the UK
