An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Designer to join a well-established biotech company using large-scale genetic data and AI to predict disease risk and advance precision healthcare.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape user-focused digital products, turning complex information into clear, accessible and intuitive experiences.

This is a 6-month contract-based role offering hybrid / remote working options, salary range of £500 - £600 (DOE) per day and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering user research, usability testing and design validation activities.
  • Developing interactive prototypes to test concepts and guide product decisions.
  • Taking ownership of UX and UI design throughout discovery, development and validation.
  • Turning complex data, insights and recommendations into simple, engaging user experiences.
  • Designing dashboards, workflows and decision-support interfaces that make information easier to understand and act upon.
  • Carrying out interviews and usability studies to identify user needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Working closely with product, engineering and business teams to develop and prioritise effective solutions.
  • Using qualitative and quantitative insights to refine products and improve the overall user experience.
  • Presenting design thinking, research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Promoting accessibility, inclusive design and user-centred principles throughout the design process.

Essential

  • Previously worked as a Senior Product Designer or in a similar role.
  • Experience working within digital product environments.
  • Extensive UX and UI design experience, supported by a strong portfolio of completed work.
  • Background in delivering user research, prototype testing and design experimentation.
  • Experience working within Agile and cross-functional product teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma and contemporary prototyping tools.
  • Understanding of accessibility requirements and inclusive design practices.
  • A portfolio demonstrating data visualisation, dashboard, information design and data storytelling capabilities.
  • Ability to make complex data, processes and decision-making journeys simple and intuitive for users.

Desirable

  • Experience within healthcare, Health Tech, life sciences or similarly regulated environments.
  • Experience designing analytics platforms, AI-enabled solutions, dashboards or decision-support products.
