An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join an independent veterinary practice with a strong reputation for delivering compassionate care and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, support clinical procedures and contribute to the smooth running of the practice. This full‑time role offers a salary range of £30,000 - £33,000 and benefits. Part‑time hours candidates will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Conducting nurse consultations and providing advice to clients.
- Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures.
- Delivering a high standard of inpatient nursing care.
- Supporting patient admissions and discharges.
- Processing and running laboratory samples.
- Maintaining and managing your designated clinical workspace.
- Supervising work experience students within the practice.
- Providing clinical coaching and support to Student Veterinary Nurses when required.
Qualifications
- Previously worked as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Nurse, Registered Nurse or in a similar role.
- Registered Veterinary Nurse status with the RCVS.
- Prior experience within a veterinary clinical setting.
- Confidence in both medical and surgical nursing duties.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
Working hours: 37 hours per week. Choose to work either 4 days per week, with 9.25‑hour shifts, or a similar number of hours spread across 5 days. Regular day off will be either Tuesday or Wednesday. 1 in every 3 Saturday mornings.
