An opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join a well-established accountancy firm providing accounting, tax, payroll, bookkeeping, and business advisory services for small businesses, contractors, landlords, and individuals As a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant , you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping duties for a varied client portfolio, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and key deadlines are consistently achieved.

You will be responsible for: Managing bookkeeping activities for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
Processing sales and purchase ledger transactions.
Reconciling bank accounts and control accounts.
Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero.
Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and resolve bookkeeping queries.
Supporting the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts and year-end financial information.
Ensuring all bookkeeping work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
What we are looking for: Previously worked as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Junior Accountant, Practice Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
