An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Designer to join a well-established health research organisation and charity supporting large-scale medical research to improve disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who can work across UX and UI design, particularly in situations where requirements may be unclear, incomplete or evolving. You will use research, stakeholder input and design expertise to develop practical, user-centred solutions, while working with product, research, content, behavioural science and engineering teams.
You will be involved in designing participant invitation journeys, developing and testing prototypes, working with established design systems and applying accessibility and inclusive design principles.
This is a 6-month contract offering hybrid / remote working, at £500–£600 per day depending on experience, Inside IR35.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading UX and UI design activities through discovery, design and validation.
- Designing clear and trustworthy participant invitation journeys.
- Creating, testing and refining prototypes to inform product decisions.
- Working alongside product, content, research, behavioural science and engineering teams.
- Turning research findings, stakeholder input and unclear requirements into practical design solutions.
- Identifying shared requirements across teams and developing scalable and repeatable experiences.
- Working with related service teams to improve consistency and design practices.
- Facilitating discussions across product, engineering, research, clinical and business stakeholders.
- Communicating design thinking, recommendations and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Applying established design systems, accessibility standards and ethical considerations to design work.
