Role Overview
Location: Remote based, with travel to client sites (South West/Midlands)
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance
- Respond swiftly to network alerts, incidents, and outages to minimise disruption
- Lead the deployment and configuration of network projects, including WAN, LAN, and wireless solutions
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams to support network upgrades and onboarding
- Assist in securing network environments through best practice configuration and security measures
Main Skills Needed
- Extensive experience managing enterprise or managed network infrastructure, preferably within an MSP environment
- Strong grasp of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, and secure connectivity
- Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, WatchGuard): policy creation, VPNs, NAT, HA
- Routing & Switching: VLANs, STP, QoS, OSPF/BGP, trunking, redundancy
- Network documentation and topology diagrams
- Change management and ITIL service transitions
- Scripting/automation exposure (Python, Ansible, PowerShell) beneficial not essential
