This is a chance to join a specialist technology consultancy working at the heart of the UK defence and government space, helping modernise secure systems with thoughtful, user-centred design. You’ll be shaping interfaces that genuinely matter, in an environment where quality, clarity, and security are non-negotiable.

Role Overview:

  • Location: Farnborough - Hybrid working
  • Package: £500 per day (Outside IR35)
  • Industry: Defence / Government Technology

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing intuitive UX/UI solutions for secure, web-based applications
  • Working closely with engineering teams using component-based design approaches
  • Contributing to and evolving established design systems to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Creating dashboards, workflows, and forms that support complex user processes
  • Designing interfaces for mapping, navigation, and planning-based systems
  • Translating user needs and technical requirements into clear, usable designs
  • Collaborating in a multidisciplinary team within a high-security environment

Main Skills Needed:

  • Strong UX/UI design experience across complex web applications
  • Hands-on experience with Figma
  • Solid understanding of component-based design (React-aligned environments ideally)
  • Experience working with design systems (e.g. Carbon or similar)
  • Background designing interfaces for mapping, navigation, or planning tools
  • Currently holding active SC clearance (UK sole British / naturalised, no dual citizenship)
