We are seeking an experienced Senior Networking and Connectivity Engineer to join a highly skilled team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network infrastructures across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Internet Protocol (IP) networking and hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) from multiple vendors.
Please note: This is a 24/7 operational environment requiring a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, including night shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network solutions, ensuring high availability and security.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot NGFW platforms including Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, and/or Cisco Firepower.
- Implement and optimise routing, switching, and VPN solutions across multi-site environments.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, including segmentation, access control, and threat prevention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud connectivity, remote access, and hybrid environments.
- Lead incident response for network-related security events and outages.
- Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking and connectivity roles.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPN technologies.
- Proven experience with multi-vendor NGFW solutions (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco).
- Expertise in network security principles, intrusion prevention, and threat mitigation.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS/Azure), and automation tools is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP) highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a rotational shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
