Overview: Weβre supporting a confidential UK-based organisation operating in a highly secure environment to hire an experienced Programme Delivery Lead. This role provides strategic leadership across a portfolio of professional/managed services, ensuring service outcomes are delivered with strong governance, commercial control, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for programme/service delivery across an augmented resource model.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex service issues, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain programme governance, ensuring appropriate controls, reporting, RAID management, and decision forums.
- Ensure a robust service management framework is in place and that delivery aligns to agreed standards and ways of working.
- Own senior stakeholder relationships, influencing at all levels and creating a strong culture of problem-solving and risk ownership.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of core delivery artefacts, such as: programme brief, initiation documentation, business cases, and wider service documentation.
- Oversee service continuity and resilience, proactively identifying and mitigating delivery and operational risks.
- Hold commercial ownership of customer engagement, including development and delivery of terms of engagement and statements of work, and ensuring appropriate governance around approvals and invoicing.
- Maintain financial and resource management oversight, including evaluation of opportunities for additional work/packages and supporting approval/transition to live service.
Qualifications:
- ITIL v4 Foundation.
- BCS Agile Foundation.
- Significant experience leading programme/service delivery in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong capability in strategic planning, risk management, financial oversight, and resource management.
- Excellent stakeholder management with proven ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
