- Leading, mentoring and developing a mechanical engineering team, ensuring strong performance and engagement
- Overseeing the delivery of mechanical and electromechanical systems across the full product lifecycle
- Managing resource planning, hiring, and ongoing team capability development
- Reviewing and approving engineering outputs including designs, analysis and technical documentation
- Driving delivery against key project metrics including cost, quality and timelines
- Improving engineering processes, tools and standards to enhance overall performance
- Supporting wider business objectives and contributing to strategic engineering initiatives
Qualifications:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience delivering mechanical or electromechanical systems within defence, aerospace or maritime environments
- Strong technical knowledge across design, manufacturing and engineering analysis
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams
- Ability to review and approve complex engineering designs and outputs
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills
- Familiarity with CAD/PLM tools
