What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the successful delivery of multiple cyber security consultancy projects for clients across a variety of sectors.
- Manage and support a team of consultants delivering cyber maturity assessments, risk reviews, and security improvement programmes.
- Provide trusted advice on cyber governance, risk management, compliance, and security strategy.
- Develop practical security roadmaps and recommendations that help clients strengthen their cyber resilience.
- Guide organisations through recognised security frameworks and compliance standards, including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, GDPR, and other industry regulations.
- Review and assure the quality of security documentation, reports, and client deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, executive briefings, and stakeholder discussions to communicate complex security challenges clearly.
- Oversee security reviews covering infrastructure, cloud environments, supplier risk, and business processes.
- Support clients with vulnerability management, remediation planning, and cyber resilience initiatives.
- Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, client presentations, discovery sessions, and identifying new opportunities.
- Mentor junior consultants while helping to develop consulting methodologies, best practices, and service offerings.
- Support the continued growth of the cyber consulting team through knowledge sharing, recruitment, and capability development.
Main Skills Needed
- Proven experience in cyber security consulting, governance, risk, and compliance within a professional services environment.
- Previous leadership experience managing consultants and delivering multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of recognised cyber security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and Cyber Essentials.
- Experience delivering security maturity assessments, risk assessments, and governance programmes.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organisation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working within regulated industries would be advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are desirable.
