  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design and develop modern C++ software for complex embedded and mission‑critical systems.
  • Own software features from initial concept and design through to integration, verification and final delivery.
  • Work closely with software, systems, algorithms, FPGA and hardware specialists to develop integrated solutions.
  • Develop robust software for resource‑constrained embedded platforms.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to implementation and acceptance.
  • Support system integration, testing, verification and technical troubleshooting.
  • Apply structured engineering, configuration management and assurance practices throughout development.
  • Help improve software architectures, development tools and engineering processes.
  • Take responsibility for technical work packages and deliver solutions that have a direct impact on customer outcomes.
  • Main Skills Needed
  • Strong commercial experience developing software using modern C++.
  • Solid background in embedded software and resource‑constrained environments.
  • Experience taking complex software through the full development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of software design methodologies, including UML or comparable modelling approaches.
  • Experience working within disciplined engineering environments with formal configuration and change management.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of technical deliverables, features or work packages.
  • Degree‑level qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in GNSS, navigation, communications, aerospace, defence, electronic warfare or another high‑integrity environment would be advantageous.
  • Eligibility to obtain SC security clearance is essential.
