A major transformation programme is looking for a senior Test Strategy Lead to take ownership of quality across a complex, high-profile delivery environment. This is a key leadership role focused on embedding automation-first, AI-enabled testing practices that drive confidence, scalability and faster delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Defining and leading the overall testing and quality strategy across a large-scale programme
- Acting as the central point of accountability for quality, release assurance and testing governance
- Embedding modern “shift-left” quality engineering practices across discovery, design and delivery
- Driving automation across APIs, integrations, UI and data pipelines to improve speed and reliability
- Introducing AI-enabled testing capabilities including predictive analytics, intelligent test design and execution optimisation
- Leading end-to-end testing across complex integrations and external partner onboarding
- Establishing quality standards, risk-based testing approaches and release readiness criteria
- Working closely with architecture, DevOps, security and compliance teams to ensure aligned delivery
- Providing senior stakeholders with clear quality reporting, risk visibility and release confidence
- Supporting and mentoring teams in modern testing, automation and quality engineering approaches
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong experience leading enterprise-wide test strategy within complex or regulated environments
- Deep understanding of quality engineering, DevOps and shift-left delivery models
- Expertise in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration and modern testing tooling
- Experience delivering executive-level release assurance and governance reporting
- Knowledge of AI-driven testing tools, analytics and intelligent automation approaches
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical risk in commercial terms
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and multiple delivery streams
- Proven ability to influence teams and drive adoption of quality-first ways of working
