We’re working with a fast-growing start-up business looking for an iOS Developer to take full ownership of the mobile layer - from SDKs used by partners to the app used by clients in their field. You’ll work at the intersection of on-device machine learning, SDK development, and real-world product deployment, delivering reliable, high-performance mobile experiences used in production environments.
Location: London - Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- SDK integrations & partner support
- Lead integrations with partners and clients, ensuring seamless interoperability
- Collaborate with external engineering teams to support SDK adoption
- Manage versioning, documentation, and developer support
- iOS camera SDK ownership
- Maintain and extend a camera SDK with real-time image quality checks (e.g. blur, lighting, framing)
- Ensure stability, performance, and ease of integration
- Manage SDK distribution and packaging
- On-device ML deployment
- Deploy and optimise machine learning models for mobile (e.g. conversion, quantisation, performance tuning)
- Run real-time vision models directly on-device
- Ensure performance across a range of device types
- Mobile app ownership
- Maintain and improve a live iOS application
- Build features connecting mobile to backend systems via APIs
- Own authentication, networking, and custom camera workflows
- CI/CD & release pipeline
- Improve build, test, and release processes
- Support ongoing delivery and maintain reliability of releases
Experience required:
- Background in early-stage or fast-moving environments
- Experience as a sole or lead mobile developer, owning products end-to-end
- Proven delivery of on-device ML features in production (not just prototypes)
- Experience building and maintaining SDKs used by external developers
- Track record of maintaining live apps, shipping features, and fixing issues
- Ownership of CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Strong expertise in Swift and native iOS development
- Experience with on-device ML frameworks (e.g. Core ML, TensorFlow Lite, ONNX Runtime)
- Model conversion and optimisation (e.g. PyTorch → mobile formats)
- SDK development and distribution
