Intelligent Automation Lead
An incredible opportunity to join a Global Leader in Speciality Insurance.
Join a fast-growing analytics team that’s redefining how a global insurer operates. This role is about building intelligent automation solutions that combine AI, machine learning and advanced data processing to transform business performance.
Role Overview:
Location: Hybrid / Central London
Package: £80,000–£100,000 per annum Performance Bonus Benefits

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partner with senior leaders to identify automation opportunities and shape new projects.
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-driven automation solutions across underwriting and claims.
- Act as subject matter expert for intelligent automation technologies including NLP, OCR/IDP, computer vision and LLMs.
- Manage and mentor offshore resources, ensuring quality and speed of delivery.
- Build proof-of-concepts that demonstrate real business value from AI.
- Support the development of an internal AI Centre of Excellence.
- Provide updates and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Main Skills Needed:
- Proven track record of leadership in analytics or automation projects.
- Strong experience in automation/AI within insurance or financial services.
- Knowledge of AI technologies and real-world application of LLMs to business problems.
- Hands-on experience with process improvement and automation design.
- Comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous challenges and delivering clear solutions.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Python development background is desirable.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a similar quantitative field.
