What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing the school kitchen team of five to deliver delicious, nutritious meals
  • Planning and preparing food for approximately 500 students, mainly during term time
  • Ensuring all meals meet allergen and dietary requirements, including Halal standards
  • Overseeing daily service, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Handling all aspects of kitchen operation to maintain high standards and efficiency

Main Skills Needed:

  • Proven experience in a similar head chef or senior catering role, ideally within a school or communal environment at scale
  • Strong knowledge of allergen management and dietary requirements, including Halal catering
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to oversee a small catering team effectively
