Senior Commercial Manager | Defence & Aerospace
Location: Farnborough | Hybrid - 3 days onsite
Salary: Up to £81,000 + benefits
I’m currently working with a leading organisation within the Defence, Aerospace & Marine sector who are looking to bring in a Commercial Portfolio Lead to join their growing commercial function in Farnborough.
This is a senior commercial position with responsibility for providing commercial leadership, governance and strategic oversight across a portfolio within the Maritime & Land business.
The opportunity
You’ll work across multiple business areas, leading commercial strategy and overseeing complex programmes, proposals and contracts. You’ll also work closely with senior stakeholders and strategic customers, with plenty of scope to influence commercial direction.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the commercial strategy across your portfolio
- Leading key strategic relationships both internally and externally
- Providing commercial governance across complex, non-standard proposals and contracts
- Leading negotiation strategy and planning, with the ability to influence at Executive level
- Overseeing multi-disciplinary Integrated Delivery Teams where required
- Developing commercial approaches across people, processes and tools
What are they looking for?
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial management or commercial leadership role
- Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Marine or a closely related industry is highly desirable
- Degree educated
- WCC Member status or higher OR MCIPS qualified
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Experience operating across complex commercial environments
