What You’ll Be Doing:
- Shaping and delivering the overall environment and release strategy across a complex technology landscape.
- Planning, configuring and maintaining test environments, ensuring reliability and consistency.
- Building dashboards to monitor environment health, performance, and software versions.
- Managing deployment risks, issues, and cross-platform dependencies.
- Implementing governance for access and security across environments.
- Driving the move towards greater automation and Continuous Integration (CI).
- Supporting QA and development teams in troubleshooting release and environment issues.
- Producing environment roadmaps and coordinating availability with stakeholders.
- Scheduling downtime with minimal disruption to ongoing testing.
Main Skills Needed:
- Proven background in environment and release management, covering both on-premise and cloud strategies.
- Strong technical knowledge across Java, APIs, web services, and service virtualisation.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, AIX, Windows, and AWS.
- Skilled with databases including SQL, DB2, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, code branching, and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Subversion.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and APM tools.
- Comfortable working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
