We are looking to hire two Lead Penetration Testers with CTL Certification. This is a chance to join a well-established cybersecurity team that supports organisations across both public and private sectors. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality penetration testing that helps clients stay secure in a fast-moving threat landscape.
Location: Remote with ad-hoc travel to client sites.
Industry: Cyber Security/Managed Security Services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver a wide range of penetration testing engagements for commercial and government clients.
- Produce clear, detailed reports outlining risks, impact, and practical remediation steps.
- Support pre-engagement activity, including scoping calls and client discussions.
- Contribute to QA reviews of other consultants’ reports.
- Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge, improve processes, and maintain high testing standards.
- Where applicable, mentor junior testers and help develop their technical capability.
- Manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain delivery quality.
Main Skills Needed:
- CHECK Team Lead Certification (CTL) via Crest or Cyber Scheme, with solid hands-on testing experience, is essential.
- Candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance; this is essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence & Access to a vehicle is essential.
- Strong understanding of penetration testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Broad technical knowledge across networking, operating systems (especially *Nix), and security fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams and senior leadership.
- High-quality report writing skills with strong English and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bonus: scripting or coding experience, OSCP, or hands-on training platform experience.
