We are recruiting for a specialist digital consultancy delivering secure, user-focused technology solutions across the UK public sector and defence landscape. This role sits at the heart of their growth strategy — shaping innovative solutions, influencing major bids, and helping clients tackle complex transformation challenges with confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the technical architecture and innovation strategy for large-scale public sector and defence bids
  • Shaping compelling technical proposals that balance innovation, delivery realism, and commercial viability
  • Working closely with sales and leadership teams to define winning bid strategies and differentiated client solutions
  • Translating emerging technologies and government priorities into scalable, practical services for clients
  • Overseeing the creation of proof of concepts, prototypes, and demonstrations during pre-sales engagements
  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor to senior government stakeholders throughout early engagement discussions
  • Supporting the development of repeatable service offerings and accelerators alongside engineering and practice teams
  • Representing the business at industry events, forums, and thought leadership activities
  • Ensuring smooth transition from bid phase into delivery by aligning technical vision, expectations, and delivery approach

Main Skills Needed:

  • Strong track record of securing and shaping complex, multi-million-pound contracts within UK Government or Defence environments
  • Deep understanding of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) frameworks and public sector procurement models
  • Broad technical background across modern software engineering, cloud, AI, cyber security, or digital transformation services
  • Ability to bridge technical innovation with commercial delivery and profitability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior government and defence clients
  • Strong proposal writing and bid response experience, including technical narrative creation
  • Confident communicator able to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience operating in agile, fast-paced consultancy or scale-up environments
  • Strong awareness of ethical technology, compliance, security, and governance considerations
