What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify, prioritise and resolve security vulnerabilities across cloud platforms, applications, containers and CI/CD environments
- Work closely with Cyber Defence, SOC and Security teams to respond quickly to emerging threats and incidents
- Embed security tooling into development pipelines, including container, dependency and secret scanning
- Strengthen infrastructure security across AWS and Azure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Automate remediation, compliance checks and policy enforcement through cloud-native tooling and policy-as-code approaches
- Support secure solution design and threat modelling activities across engineering teams
- Own and improve vulnerability management processes, ensuring remediation targets are achieved
- Configure and maintain core cloud security controls including IAM, logging, monitoring, WAFs and key management
- Produce technical documentation, remediation guidance and operational runbooks
- Partner with product and engineering teams to promote secure‑by‑design development standards
- Help define and enforce governance and security policies across cloud environments
Main Skills Needed:
- Previous experience within DevOps, Platform Engineering or DevSecOps environments
- Strong automation and scripting capabilities with a development-focused mindset
- Hands‑on Terraform experience across AWS and Azure environments
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, network security and container security
- Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, remediation workflows and security operations collaboration
- Understanding of modern cloud-native and distributed application architectures
- Ability to adapt quickly within rapidly evolving cloud technology environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally with technical teams
