What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and operating secure, scalable cloud platforms across Azure and GCP
  • Supporting multi-region infrastructure deployments with a focus on resilience and high availability
  • Building and maintaining modern container and orchestration platforms for cloud-native applications
  • Managing networking, routing, firewalls, load balancing, CDN and edge traffic solutions
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to deliver repeatable, compliant deployments
  • Creating CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks using GitHub and Azure DevOps
  • Enabling self-service deployment capabilities for engineering teams through templates, guardrails, and automation
  • Supporting serverless and event-driven workloads using managed cloud services
  • Embedding security, performance, reliability, and cost optimisation best practices into platform design
  • Collaborating closely with engineering and security teams to improve platform standards and developer experience
  • Maintaining technical documentation, operational processes, and reference architectures

Main Skills Needed

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Solid background in cloud networking, security, and infrastructure engineering
  • Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub
  • Knowledge of containerisation, orchestration, and cloud-native application hosting
  • Understanding of networking technologies including routing, firewalls, load balancing, API gateways, and traffic management
  • Experience supporting both Linux and Windows environments
  • Exposure to serverless platforms, messaging services, and integration tooling
  • Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region deployment strategies
  • Familiarity with regulated environments and security-focused delivery standards
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative engineering mindset
  • Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is beneficial
