About the Role

We are working with a large, highly regulated organisation within the entertainment industry to recruit a Communications Manager with strong corporate and financial communications experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PR and communications professional who understands how to communicate complex financial and corporate information clearly and confidently to external audiences. You’ll join a high-profile communications function and play a key role in managing the organisation’s external reputation, identifying news opportunities and delivering corporate communications around business performance, financial results, investments and its wider contribution to society.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and support external corporate communications across a large, regulated organisation.
  • Develop communications around financial results, business performance, corporate announcements and key financial updates.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, engaging stories for external audiences.
  • Support communications around the organisation’s financial contribution to good causes and wider social impact.
  • Identify opportunities to generate positive national, regional and trade media coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, including national journalists and major newspapers.
  • Manage media enquiries and support responses to potentially sensitive or reputational issues.
  • Develop press releases, statements, briefing documents, talking points and other external communications materials.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify and shape stories that support corporate priorities.
  • Monitor the external media landscape and identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Work with external PR and communications agencies where required.
  • Take a digital-first approach to corporate communications across relevant channels.
  • Support wider corporate communications campaigns and key business milestones.

What We’re Looking For

We’re particularly interested in candidates who have worked within large, regulated organisations and have experience across corporate and financial communications. You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong experience in corporate external communications, financial PR or corporate financial communications.
  • Experience communicating financial results, business performance, announcements or similar corporate information.
  • Experience working with national journalists and/or major newspapers on financial or corporate PR.
  • A background within a large, complex and/or regulated business.
  • Previous agency experience would be beneficial, particularly where your agency clients have included large, regulated organisations.
  • Strong media relations experience and an established journalist network.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
  • Experience handling sensitive media enquiries and reputational issues.
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to identify compelling news angles from corporate activity.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
