Security Architect (12 month fixed term contract)

This is an opportunity for an experienced Security Architect to help shape secure, enterprise-wide solutions while supporting critical services in a highly regulated environment.

We're looking to hire 7 Security Architect's on 12 month fixed term contracts.

Role Overview

Location

Hybrid/Warrington. 2-3 days per week on site.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Partner with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Business Analysts and delivery teams to embed security into projects from the earliest stages.
  • Produce high and low-level security designs for complex, business-critical technology programmes.
  • Carry out security risk assessments using recognised threat modelling methodologies.
  • Define practical security requirements that align with organisational standards and best practice.
  • Review solutions for security risks, policy compliance and governance, providing clear recommendations where improvements are required.
  • Support security design reviews and update documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop security testing scopes and plans, including penetration testing, while working with internal and external testing teams.
  • Communicate technical security risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping projects reach informed risk decisions.
  • Balance security, delivery pace, quality and commercial priorities to enable successful project outcomes.
  • Main Skills Needed
  • Experience working on digital games is essential, preferably within the Gambling sector.
  • A background in Product Security is essential.
  • Proven experience providing Security Architecture or Security Design support across enterprise-scale technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of threat modelling techniques such as STRIDE, DREAD, MITRE ATT&ck or similar.
  • Experience producing structured, high-quality security designs and technical documentation.
  • Broad technical knowledge spanning infrastructure, networks, applications, databases and cloud platforms.
  • Strong expertise across key security domains including IAM, application security, network security, cryptography, endpoint security, vulnerability management and security monitoring.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud security principles across Iaa S, Paa S and Saa S environments.
  • Strong understanding of recognised security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS and PCI-DSS.
  • Confident communicating security risks and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience within regulated industries such as gaming, financial services or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery environments and tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience working within complex release management environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Lean and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • CISSP certification or equivalent security qualifications.
