Role Overview

Location: Warrington (Hybrid - 3 days in the office per week)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the development and maintenance of cyber security tools, processes, and capabilities within the security operations centre
  • Conducting advanced analytics and threat assessments using frameworks like Mitre ATT&CK to identify vulnerabilities and enhance security measures
  • Acting as the incident response lead when potential threats are detected, guiding forensic investigations and contributing to breach analysis
  • Developing AI solutions for proactive threat detection and ensuring cloud security standards are met across Azure and AWS platforms
  • Supporting and refining security strategies through data analysis, risk assessments, and collaboration with stakeholders across Risk, Technology, and Operations

Main Skills Needed

  • Proven experience in cyber security, preferably 1-3 years, within a threat‑led environment
  • In‑depth knowledge of cloud security controls (Azure & AWS) and security tooling such as Sentinel, CyberArk, and Palo Alto
  • Proficiency with scripting languages, ideally Python, for automation and threat modelling
  • Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape, adversary tactics, and security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, with excellent organisational skills and stakeholder engagement
