What'll Be Doing
- Designing and prototyping user journeys, wireframes, and interactive UI concepts
- Conducting usability testing and refining designs based on user feedback and research insights
- Translating complex user and system requirements into clean, accessible interface designs
- Building responsive front-end applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Developing reusable UI components and maintaining consistent design systems
- Ensuring accessibility compliance and adherence to inclusive design standards
- Integrating front-end applications with backend APIs and data services
- Optimising performance for secure, low-bandwidth, or constrained environments
- Collaborating within Agile teams alongside developers, researchers, and architects
Main Skills Needed
- Strong experience in front-end development using React, Angular, or Vue
- Solid technical ability in HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Proven UX capability including wireframing, prototyping, and user flow design
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA or equivalent)
- Experience working with APIs and JSON-based data integration
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience in secure, regulated environments such as government or defence sectors
- Understanding of Secure by Design and DevSecOps principles
