The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
You will be designated a base office which could include Bristol, London, Cheltenham, Plymouth or Manchester, however we work in a hybrid fashion so you can choose how often you work from the office or home. There is an expectation however to meet customers on a regular basis (typically bi-weekly).
The Opportunity
Due to a planned rotation, we are looking for a Lead Engineer to take a leadership role on one of our large projects in our Central Government team. In this varied role, you will lead a team of Software, Devops and Test Engineers who are developing a new cloud native solution for our customer. Using your broad technical experience, you will be hands on in developing the solution, setting the direction for the team, taking the lead for technical decision making and selecting the appropriate tools, frameworks, and platforms to be used by the team.
The Fit
This role is ideal for an experienced Lead Engineer, experience working on large and complex solutions for customers. You will have:
- Strong Full-Stack development skills, with deep experience using Java 11+, Spring Boot & React
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Understanding of AWS services
- Leadership skills to manage a large multi disciplinary team of Engineers
- Stakeholder management skills, able to work with customers at all levels
- An ability to architect/design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions
