We’re looking for an experienced Food WMS Product Manager to take ownership of a business-critical legacy Warehouse Management System within a large-scale retail and supply chain environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a product professional with hands-on RedPrairie expertise to lead the ongoing development, stability and enhancement of a live operational platform. You’ll shape the product roadmap, prioritise the backlog and ensure the system continues to support complex warehouse operations effectively.

The Opportunity

As WMS Product Manager, you’ll own and drive the RedPrairie Warehouse Management System, also known as Blue Yonder or JDA WMS. You’ll balance longer-term product development with the immediate need to protect service stability across a live operational environment. Working closely with business, technology and operational stakeholders, you’ll translate complex requirements into clear product priorities and deliver enhancements that create measurable operational value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing, refining and prioritising the product backlog.
  • Defining, maintaining and owning the product roadmap.
  • Protecting the stability and continuity of the live WMS platform.
  • Leading the delivery of system and operational enhancements, including initiatives such as paperless loading.
  • Translating business and operational needs into clear product requirements.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across technology, supply chain and warehouse operations.
  • Balancing strategic product objectives with live service requirements.
  • Supporting Agile, backlog-driven delivery across the product lifecycle.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and platform capabilities.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in warehouse management systems and complex supply chain environments. You must have:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager within a WMS or supply chain environment.
  • Hands-on expertise with RedPrairie, Blue Yonder or JDA Warehouse Management System.
  • Experience working within a food, grocery or retail environment.
  • Strong backlog management and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience defining and owning product roadmaps.
  • A strong understanding of service stability and the protection of live operational systems.
  • Experience delivering system and process enhancements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements.
  • Experience working within Agile, backlog-driven delivery environments.

Highly Desirable

It would be beneficial if you also have:

  • Experience delivering warehouse automation or robotics initiatives, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
  • An understanding of legacy WMS modernisation or migration programmes.
  • Experience working across large-scale, business-critical warehouse operations.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel when required.

Why Apply?

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering genuine ownership of a critical warehouse management platform within a complex, high-volume operational environment. In return, you’ll benefit from:

  • A competitive rate of £500 per day.
  • A minimum 12-month contract with the potential for extension.
  • Remote working, with travel required only when necessary.
  • End-to-end ownership of a business-critical WMS product.
  • The opportunity to shape the product roadmap and deliver meaningful operational improvements.
  • Exposure to warehouse automation, modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
