What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design, build and support secure infrastructure across complex, high-security environments
  • Maintain and enhance virtualised and multi-classification platforms
  • Support cloud-based services (including Microsoft 365) and hybrid infrastructure deployments
  • Manage infrastructure changes, patching, and system upgrades through controlled processes
  • Monitor systems, triage alerts, and respond to incidents to ensure service continuity
  • Improve system performance, stability, and security through proactive enhancements
  • Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to embed secure-by-design principles
  • Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Share knowledge and support continuous improvement across the wider team

Main Skills Needed:

  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, hybrid, and SaaS environments)
  • Virtualisation expertise (VMware stack including vSphere/vCenter)
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Networking fundamentals and secure infrastructure design principles
  • Automation and scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tooling and monitoring solutions
  • Experience working in secure or regulated environments
  • Understanding of identity and access management (SSO concepts)
  • Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments
