Role Overview:
- Location: UK (onsite in secure environments)

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of secure network solutions across LAN and WAN environments
- Configure and optimise routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
- Implement and manage VPNs and advanced network security solutions
- Translate high-level and low-level designs into robust, scalable configurations
- Design and support data centre networking architectures (Spine/Leaf, EVPN, BGP, Geneve)
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across highly secure environments
- Work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical systems
- Drive innovation through lab work, proof of concepts, and new technology adoption
- Apply and advocate for secure-by-design principles throughout delivery
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong experience with WAN architecture and enterprise networking
- Deep knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Expertise in VPN technologies, IKEv2, and network security infrastructure
- Proven experience with firewall configuration across multi-vendor environments
- Data centre networking experience (Spine/Leaf, EVPN, BGP, Geneve)
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Experience with NSX, HAIPE, and whitebox networking technologies (desirable)
- Strong ability to produce and work from detailed technical documentation
- Comfortable working independently in secure, restricted environments
- Cisco CCNP (or equivalent hands-on experience)
