Role Description
The Tyre Fitter role is a full‑time, on‑site position located in England, United Kingdom.
The Tyre Fitter is responsible for fitting, removing, and repairing tyres on a variety of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles.
Day‑to‑day tasks include safely lifting vehicles, removing wheels, inspecting tyres for wear or damage, mounting and balancing new tyres, and ensuring correct tyre pressures.
The role also involves communicating with customers about tyre options, explaining work completed, maintaining a clean and safe workshop area, and following all health and safety procedures.
The Tyre Fitter works as part of a team to deliver prompt, reliable service and may assist with stock handling and basic administrative tasks related to tyre orders and fittings.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in tyre fitting, wheel balancing, and puncture repairs, ideally in a retail or automotive workshop environment.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures, including correct lifting techniques and use of workshop tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, diagnose common tyre issues, and apply manufacturer guidelines for tyre sizes and specifications.
