WORKSCOPE
Based at our client site in North Lanarkshire, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with project specifications, working closely with site management and subcontractors.
SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED
- Provide SHE Management advice and guidance to the project team in accordance with UK legislation, CDM Regulations and client standards
- Review and advise on risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments prepared by others
- Undertake site SHE audits, inspections and compliance reviews, issuing findings and recommendations
- Monitor SHE performance and produce weekly and monthly SHE reports for submission to Addison and/or the client
- Review construction activities and design information to ensure safe and practicable installation methodologies
- Support incident and near-miss investigations by reviewing evidence and providing recommendations, without ownership of disciplinary or management actions
- Act as a SHE liaison support during project meetings, providing professional input where required
- Review sub-contractor SHE documentation and advising on compliance with statutory and contractual requirements
- Support the implementation of CDM Construction Phase requirements through advisory review, not managerial control
- Provide specialist SHE input to support continuous improvement initiatives when requested
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Valid CSCS card
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations with experience operating in both Principal Designer and Principal Contractor environments
- Proven experience working on onshore UK construction projects, within the chemical, pharmaceutical, FMCG or COMAH sites
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum)
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- Excellent communication, influencing and reporting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of construction methods, tolerances, and quality standards
