Role: Control and Instrumentation (Automation) Engineer Location: Cheshire Start Date: August 2025 Status: 12 months, Outside IR35 Addison Project Plc is seeking a contractor to provide Automation Control and Instrumentation Engineering services for a period of 12 months to be based in Cheshire. Services to be provided * Automation C&I Engineering for a DCS site migration * Site surveys, visits and client meetings * Automation C&I Engineering Design * Scope of Work documents * Datasheets * Checking and approval of Engineering Design * Liaise with other disciplines; process, piping, mechanical, civil structural and EC&I to co-ordinate requirements for vendor packages and design * Technical assistance on equipment specifications and bid compliance Person specification * You must possess suitable and relevant qualifications within C&I, minimum of an HNC preferably a degree. * You must have experience attending and representing at Project Meetings with a range of stakeholders. * Experience DCS BPCS/SIS systems design and integration * Experience with Siemens S7 Simatic PLC hardware * Experience in plant systems network architecture design * WinCC system software and server experience * Experience with modifications to SCADA operator graphics and operator ergonomics * Experience with systems test and project commissioning * Experience with MCC interfacing ICA * Experience with Hazardous Explosive Atmospheres * Experience working in / with COMAH sites If you have the skills and experience and would like to be considered for the role, please apply now.
