About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our New Business Sales team as a Sales Executive. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sales, whether you already have some experience or are keen to take your first step into a commercial role. You’ll play a key role in supporting the growth of the business by helping to identify and engage new clients. Working closely with the Sales Manager and wider team, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full sales lifecycle – from generating leads and speaking with potential customers, through to supporting proposals and winning new business. This role offers a strong learning environment, with ongoing training and support to help you develop your sales skills, confidence, and commercial awareness. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your development, build relationships with clients, and contribute to team success. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and enjoys speaking with people. Main Accountabilities
- Ownership of securing new client opportunities and proactively reach out to potential customers through calls, emails, and online research to generate new leads.
- Support the New Business Sales team.
- Handle inbound enquiries from web leads, email, and phone, ensuring a positive and professional customer experience.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, with support from the wider team and Sales Manager.
- Attend client meetings (both virtual and face-to-face) and assist in presenting Addison Lee’s services.
- Support the preparation of proposals, quotes, and responses to RFPs/tenders.
- Learn and apply best practice sales techniques across the full sales process.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g. operations and customer service) to support smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Keep records of sales activity up to date using internal systems and CRM tools.
- Stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity, with guidance from the team.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets, with ongoing support and training provided.
- Represent Addison Lee in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a sales, business development, or customer-facing commercial role (B2B experience advantageous).
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets within a KPI-driven environment.
- Confident in proactive outreach, including cold calling, lead generation, and converting new business opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Resilient and self-motivated, with a positive mindset and ability to handle rejection and objections effectively.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage a pipeline, prioritise workload, and maintain accurate records.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of sales processes and the full sales lifecycle (from prospecting through to close).
- Experience managing inbound enquiries and converting leads into revenue.
- Comfortable delivering presentations and representing the business in client-facing meetings.
- Collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
- Experience working with CRM systems would be advantageous.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- An understanding of the London private hire, transport, or mobility sector is beneficial but not essential.
Location
This role is based at our head office in Paddington.
Compensation
Basic salary between £25,000 and £27,000 (dependent on experience) and uncapped commission (OTE of £50,000).
