About the Role
Delivery Services is a division of Addison Lee. The service uses Luton Vans, Transit Vans, Motor and Pedal Bikes to complete deliveries primarily for business customers across the Greater London area. Our service is differentiated by industry‑leading booking and allocation technology, a modern fleet, uniformed drivers, reliability, and a proactive, helpful approach to fulfilling customer needs. We pride ourselves on delivering a premium, time‑sensitive service and expect our drivers to represent the Addison Lee brand professionally at all times. This role focuses on single‑point (A to B) deliveries rather than multi‑drop routes, ensuring a high‑quality and time‑efficient service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete A to B deliveries (not multi‑drop) across the Greater London area.
- Operate predominantly within the M25, with flexibility to travel further when required.
- Safely operate a Luton Van and, where required, support other areas of the fleet including Transit Van, parcel, or bike deliveries.
- Carry out safe loading and unloading of goods, including heavy lifting where required.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service at collection and delivery points.
- Use mapping tools and satnav systems to plan efficient routes.
- Represent Addison Lee in a professional manner at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (clean).
- Experience working in a similar delivery or logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of London and surrounding areas.
- Confident using maps, satnav, and navigation technology.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
Desirable Experience
- Minimum 6 months’ experience driving a Luton Van.
- Tail lift operation experience.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week (1 hour unpaid lunch break). Early Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Late Shift: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Shifts rotate weekly. Every 4th weekend on‑call (rota basis).
Compensation Package
£26,906.25 basic salary Paid overtime (for hours worked outside of standard shift) 11% commission on every booking Overtime paid at the agreed rate in line with business policy.
Special Circumstances
Due to the nature of the business, you may occasionally be required to start earlier or finish later than your scheduled shift. Overtime will be paid at the agreed rate for any hours worked outside your standard shift. Participation in a weekend duty rota will also be required.
