Position Overview

An Addison Group client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing high-volume transactions, intercompany accounting, and reconciliations. Key Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of accounts payable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform invoice matching and ensure proper documentation and approvals are in place
  • Manage manual payment processing and ensure accurate matching of payments
  • Handle bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Allocate and split costs appropriately across intercompany transactions, ensuring proper coding and company alignment
  • Maintain and track expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Work with multiple bank accounts on a daily basis, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate reporting

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Experience working in a mid-sized company environment preferred
  • Background in logistics, distribution, or supply chain industries is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of invoice matching, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting
