Addison Project Plc require a contractor to provide Construction Supervisory / Construction Management services for a moderate sized power and transmission construction project.

Work scope

Construction Supervisory / Management Services are required to ensure construction site activities operate smoothly. The requirement is to be based on site in Buckinghamshire for a period of 6 months.

Services to be provided

  • Review of design packages and 3D model to ensure cost-effective installation methodologies, delivered both safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in developing the installation construction program.
  • Assist in developing health and safety management systems on site including regular safety audits.
  • Technical reviews of designs including material selection and constructability.
  • Assist with the Pre-qualification vetting of contractor’s submissions and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure before any variation work is carried out by a sub-contractor, time and costs are agreed, and that an authorised instruction is given by the Project Construction Manager and/or Project Manager.
  • Implementation of CDM Construction Phase H&S Plan.
  • Daily coordination of contractors, including work planning, look-aheads, inter-trade co-ordination, progress monitoring and reporting, construction programme progress updates.
  • Management of contractor TQ’s.
  • Quality inspections and punch lists.

Evidence required

  • Experience of construction supervisory or construction management in the capacity of Principal Contractor working on onshore projects in the Industrial / Process Sector. Please note Commercial and Housebuilding experience is not required or suitable for this scope.
  • Excellent working knowledge of CDM.
  • Ability to manage sub-contractors to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade experience is desirable.
