We are excited to advertise the opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher to join our team. Addington School is part of Ascendancy Partnership Trust, a multi‑academy trust with deep community roots across the Berkshire area composed of a family of SEN schools all specialising in learning difficulties. We are a large all‑age Outstanding Special School on the edge of Reading in Woodley and we have an Early Years Centre located in Farley Hill.

Responsibilities / Qualifications

  • Passionate about outcomes for pupils with complex learning difficulties, experienced in the development of curriculum and assessment for students with learning difficulties.
  • Experienced school leader with a proven track record of sharing SEND expertise.
  • Leader who is energised by change but also skilled in leading, embedding and sustaining change that makes a difference to our pupils.
  • Highly organised and efficient whilst able to inspire and enthuse staff, students and the community.
  • Leader driven by core values that resonate with our school’s values and strategic direction.
  • Professional with drive, energy and determination who is approachable and a collaborative team player.
