Role Overview

• Manage a varied portfolio of owner‑managed business clients.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide proactive accountancy and tax advice.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing team.
• Review accounts and tax work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support business development through networking and identifying opportunities.
• Drive improvements to systems, processes and client service.
• Manage workflow to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
• Previous experience managing a portfolio within an accountancy practice.
• Confident communicating with clients and building lasting relationships.
• Enjoys developing and supporting junior team members.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client service.
• Audit exposure would be beneficial but is not essential.
