You'll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, charities and SMEs, with the freedom to shape the balance of accounts, tax and audit work around your strengths and interests. Whether your background is heavily weighted towards accounts or you already enjoy a broader mix including audit, you'll be supported to build a role that suits your experience while working closely with approachable directors who value your ideas and development.
Role Overview- Manage a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, charities and SME clients.
- Review statutory accounts prepared under UK accounting standards.
- Manage and review corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
- Plan and oversee audit assignments where appropriate to your experience.
- Support, mentor and develop junior members of the team.
- Monitor portfolio performance, work in progress and billing.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with experience managing a portfolio within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and planning & reviewing audits.
- Comfortable building long-term client relationships and offering proactive advice.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring colleagues would be beneficial.
- A starting salary up to Β£65,000, dependent upon experience.
- Hybrid working with a typical 3 office / 2 home split.
