You will be the "go to" person for a specific portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance as well as dealing with queries and advising on specific matters. You will be joining a friendly and collaborative payroll team, where learning is encouraged, and people genuinely support each other. Instead of being left to figure things out alone, you will have experienced colleagues around you and the opportunity to develop your knowledge across pensions, HMRC processes and year-end payroll activities. It is a role designed to give you exposure, responsibility and the chance to grow your payroll career.
Role Overview
- Assist with the preparation of weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls ready for review
- Support the upload of pension contribution files to pension providers
- Work with HMRC Real Time Information reporting requirements and deadlines
- Assist with setting up PAYE schemes with HMRC
- Contribute to payroll year-end processes
- Support the wider payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting payroll processes within a finance or payroll team
- Comfortable working with payroll deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
- Understanding of HMRC reporting and payroll compliance basics
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
