Addepar unifies portfolio, market and client data in a total portfolio view and delivers AI-powered insights within investment and client workflows. More than 1,400 firms in nearly 60 countries use Addepar to manage and advise on nearly $9 trillion in assets.
The Alts Data Operations team focuses on Alternatives Investment Data, collecting and validating information on private funds, private companies and other non-public investments. This data is used for research projects on investment decision-making and to deliver new research products on topics related to investing.
The role is responsible for ensuring the platform has timely and high-quality data available, including oversight of the alternatives security master, data quality validations management, and workflow oversight.
What You’ll Do:
- Work collaboratively with our UK team investigating Alternative Investment attributes during UK working hours.
- Research investments on Addepar’s global database and classify per asset type, vintage, and strategy.
- Oversee and manage operational workflows for Alternative data processing.
- Develop and maintain effective process controls and accurate metrics to ensure quality standards.
- Partner with members of the Research team to implement and run data quality validations.
- Oversee the security master and security classification processes.
- Independently manage and troubleshoot complex end-to-end data ingestion pipelines.
- Proactively explore and implement AI-assisted developer tools to optimise repetitive workflows.
Who You Are:
- Prior experience in the financial investment/advisory industry with knowledge of capital markets and preferably experience dealing with Alternatives Funds reporting statements and data.
- Detail-oriented with good follow-through techniques.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and self-motivation.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical skills preferred in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, SQL, Python, Databricks, Bloomberg, Pitchbook, or other financial services systems.
- Strong proficiency using SQL and Databricks to navigate complex data architectures.
- Exposure to or strong interest in using AI tools to optimize code and speed up daily data operational workflows.
- Exceptional ability to interpret unstructured private market financial data.
