The Role
We are excited to be hiring our first Portfolio Performance Analyst (Portfolio Data Consultant) in Edinburgh. This role is pivotal in leading data validation efforts for client portfolio conversions. You\\\’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial portfolio data throughout implementation projects.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong grasp of investment and portfolio data, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills. You\\\’ll take ownership of client outcomes, work hands-on to resolve complex data challenges, and contribute to enhancing internal processes along the way.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end data validation process for client onboarding and data conversion projects
- Facilitate regular client meetings and working sessions throughout the project lifecycle
- Investigate and resolve performance discrepancies in portfolio data, providing clear recommendations
- Review and document differences in calculation methodologies between systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, keeping all parties aligned and informed on progress
- Flag risks or key issues to stakeholders, including senior leadership, in a timely manner
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- Identify and help drive process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation
Who You Are
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or Economics
- 2+ years’ experience working in a financial services or fintech environment
- Sound understanding of financial instruments and portfolio data
- A proactive team player with a strong work ethic and positive approach
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
- Experience with Python is a requirement
