The Navigator is a quantitative liquidity risk projection tool that is one of the key components of Addepar's multi-product ecosystem. Brought into the Addepar family as part of an acquisition in 2021, Addepar has continued to double down on investing in this critical product. As we continue to scale, a need has opened up for a Senior Backend Software Engineer who would bring their unique expertise to the existing Engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate multi-functionally with product owners, designers, GTM teams, program managers and other Engineering team members to deliver for our clients.
- Conceive of, develop, and deliver novel solutions within a sophisticated and rich domain area.
- Build both within the primary Navigator application and in other parts of Addepar's product ecosystem.
Who You Are
- Extensive professional software engineering experience building web applications.
- Proficient in Python and understanding of common libraries used by Python.
- Proficient in Django or other Python web frameworks.
- Proficient in HTTP, REST and web API best practices.
- Experience with Java backends is a plus.
- Good experience on AWS or any other cloud platform.
- Experience with databases: SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
- Experience with AI agentic coding.
- A strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems.
- A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
