Addepar is a global technology and data company that helps investment professionals provide the most informed, precise guidance for their clients. Navigator is a quantitative liquidity risk projection tool that is a key component of Addepar's multi-product ecosystem. As we scale, we seek an Engineering Manager to lead the existing Engineering team, with opportunities to extend the role as the product expands globally.
What You’ll Do
- Direct Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and technical excellence.
- Execution & Delivery: Translate business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps with global product managers and technical partners, ensuring predictable delivery of complex data workflows.
- Hands-on Technical Contribution: Contribute to the codebase by writing production code and performing deep code reviews.
- Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior and senior engineers, helping them navigate technical challenges and advance their careers.
- Conceive, develop, and deliver novel solutions within a sophisticated financial domain; grow your career within a challenging and expanding area.
- Build within the Navigator application and across Addepar’s product ecosystem, bridging shared concerns for clients with an investor-focused viewpoint.
Who You Are
- Extensive professional software engineering experience building web applications.
- Previous formal people management or successful team leadership experience.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers.
- Hands-on technical approach; a desire to demonstrate technical expertise and improve the abilities of the team.
- Ability to drive delivery within goal-setting frameworks such as objectives & key results.
- Experience in our engineering stack preferred: React & Ember frontends with Python & Java backends.
- Ability to bridge technical details and business outcomes and manage stakeholder expectations across regions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
