We’re looking for an Area Sales Manager to join the team at Addagrip Terraco – external field sales.
About Addagrip Terraco
Established in 1980, Addagrip Terraco are manufacturers, formulators, and suppliers of high quality resin surfacing systems and have over 40 years’ of trading history and experience in the resin surfacing industry. Part of the Terraco Group since 2011, we also offer a range of specialist Terraco finishing materials and pride ourselves in our knowledge and expertise in providing innovative surfacing solutions to meet changing demands.
Responsibilities
- Achieve set volume/price and identified sales targets.
- Follow safe working practice in accordance with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and with the Company’s Safety Policy.
- Actively seek new opportunities for the products to be sold through various channels.
- Establish and maintain contact and promote the Company’s products and services to customers.
- Understanding the sales process from a Contractor or Distributor perspective.
- Keep abreast of developments in commercial, technical and policy matters and be able to react accordingly.
- Establish and maintain good customer relations, particularly by prompt and efficient response to queries and complaints.
- Maintain close liaison with internal sales in order to manage the sales process effectively, and ensure that your internal sales co-ordinator is aware of all alterations on quotations raised in the area.
- This is a pivotal role in the growth of the business and may necessitate other duties as required by management.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in technical sales through contractors/distributors or merchants.
- Previous industry experience advantageous, but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of IT skills.
- Highly motivated with strong team ethics.
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
